Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities prohibited on the Runars platform and Inference API. It forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to every user and organization using the Services.
1. Illegal and harmful activity
- Using the Services to violate any applicable Canadian or foreign law, regulation, or third-party right.
- Generating, distributing, or promoting content that exploits or harms minors in any way.
- Promoting or facilitating violence, terrorism, self-harm, or credible threats against any person or group.
- Generating malware, exploit code, or content intended to compromise computer systems.
2. Fraud, deception, and spam
- Fraudulent schemes, phishing, credential theft, or impersonation of any person or organization without authorization.
- Mass unsolicited messaging, spam, or deceptive marketing practices.
- Fabricating engagement, reviews, or other inauthentic content presented as genuine.
3. Abuse of the platform
- Circumventing rate limits, quotas, or access controls, or sharing API keys in violation of the Terms.
- Automated scraping, bulk harvesting of model outputs, or reselling access without a written agreement.
- Probing or scanning for vulnerabilities outside our responsible disclosure process.
- Interfering with or degrading the Services for other customers, including load patterns intended to disrupt.
4. Infringement
- Infringing the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
- Processing personal information of third parties without a lawful basis and required notices.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations. Where we determine a violation occurred, we may warn, throttle, suspend, or terminate access, and we may report activity to law enforcement where required by law. Where practicable we will notify the organization's owners of enforcement action and the reason for it.
6. Reporting violations
To report a violation of this AUP, contact abuse@runars.ca. Include enough detail for us to investigate. We treat abuse reports confidentially.
